Actually, if you have enough space you can just extract the latest
binary snapshot somewhere (eg, /mnt), dump a source tree in there,
"chroot /mnt /bin/sh", and do an ordinary "make build".  Actually, I
wouldn't mind seeing a "make clone" target that installed into $DESTDIR
like "make install" but got the files out of the currently running
system instead of out of /usr/src.  (The only thing the source tree
would be used for would be the hierarchy of Makefiles, to pick up
everything.)
