yeah, i see these errors also.  what speed do you drive the serial
port at?  i found that 38400 was now too fast, but 19200 was mostly
OK.  charles hannum recently made a change to if_ppp.c (changing
splhigh() to splimp()) but it appears that this is not needed for
if_sl.c (as it has splimp() already).  this change dropped my
fifo overruns from then 0-300 range to 0-20 range (per 10 minutes).
this is still Really Bad, but, it's much better.


i did actually pin point the date (within a couple of days) that
the lossage occured, but i've forgotten it no.  :-(  i think it
might have been around 3rd december, or 3rd january (the `3rd'
part is what i remember, i think.  :-)
