There are already mods in bsd.ports.mk for OpenBSD and NetBSD.  They
not only consider them, but they do integrate patches into the tree.
There are many issues with using it on OpenBSD, and would imagine that
they would be similar (but different) for NetBSD.  Most simple ports
just work, many complex ones work or are close to working (at least on
OpenBSD).

It shouldn't be too hard to port ports to NetBSD.  If you can't find
someone to send your patches to, send them to me and I'll review (and
commit as appropriate) them to the FreeBSD tree.
