A little while ago I sent a PR in about some troubles I noticed
with a recent update to libc.  more specifically gethostbyaddr broke
but I think I was able to fix it, at least in one case.  I'm not really sure
exactly what the code's doing so I was hoping to mention at least what I
got working to someone: who? (another PR seems redundant since the problem
has been reported alread), so maybe someone can point me in the right
direction.
