[..I apologize if this is stlightly off topic...]
My old dot-matrix printer gave up the ghost recently and I realize that I miss
not having a printer at home, so I'm looking around for a new one... One of the
important qualifications is that the printer be able to deal well with NetBSD
(first priority) and/or any other non-M$ OS'es.
I'm currently looking at a low-end laser or mid-range inkjet (B/W although it
seems one can't buy a B/W inkjet anymore). Any recomendations would be
appreciated.
[Now for the i386-centric part: many of the printers I've looked at specs for
seem to come with bi-directional parallel interfaces, although I'm not sure
if any of them need that support... Does the NetBSD lpt driver deal OK with
this, or should I avoid those??]
Thanks in advance for any insight.
