I'm not core, so this is nothing official, but I'm going to help feed the
bug hunting process before 1.3 gets released. There's far too many open PRs
out there, some dating as far back as release 0.9, that are sitting dormant.
It's time to do something about them. I shall not start without the
approval of current-users members, but here's the plan:
I'm going to start reposting PR's that are in open, analyzed, or suspended
state, classes sw-bug or doc-bug (but not change-request or support) to
current-users, with my own captions of any other information I can scrounge
to help get the bug swatted. They will not necessarily be in any order, but
I will probably be posting recent PR's with attached patches and very old
unresolved PR's first.
The PR's are then open to *short* debate, but preferably to anyone willing
to volunteer to find or write fixes for them. It's then up to core to
incorporate any fixes before the 1.3 branch.
I'm setting an informal goal of 25% working fixes for any
open/analyzed/suspended, sw-bug/doc-bug PR's. If we can meet this goal,
it'll prove just how capable this programming community really is.
Okay, who's game?
