Interesting. I have an Exabyte 8505 and see the same errors, and in fact
have just managed to get "mt status" wedged in the D+ state, un-killable even
by 'kill -9' (the last thing I had done was an "mt erase").
My machine in a Pentium, running a kernel and mt (and dump) from yesterday,
but with the rest of userland untouched. My Exabyte hangs off a Compaq
AIC-6x60 card.
