My $0.02:

We're talking about games and high-score files.

Something tells me this is not exactily imperative to the security of the 
system...i'd rather worry more about possible overflows than if someone 
scored better than me in tetris :-)

if dm is needed or not, please don't get confused about the purpose..is 
it a security risk or not? ignore the high score file, ignore the games.
