On our (1.3.3/i386) firewall with NAT and ftp proxy, I have been getting
panics "m_copydata" after a week or so of uptime. I was ftp-ing in
passive mode when the crash occurred.
The stack backtrace looks like
(gdb) target kcore netbsd.1.core
panic: m_copydata
#0 0x34 in ?? ()
(gdb) bt
#0 0x34 in ?? ()
#1 0xf01b2aff in cpu_reboot ()
#2 0xf012543a in panic ()
#3 0xf013047a in m_copydata ()
#4 0xf0164e39 in ippr_ftp_pasvmsg ()
#5 0xf0164e89 in ippr_ftp_in ()
#6 0xf01650b3 in ap_check ()
#7 0xf0163c1b in ip_natin ()
#8 0xf0161f7d in fr_check ()
#9 0xf0157b29 in ipintr ()
Anybody know if this was somehow addressed in 1.4? Any workarounds?
I increased NMBCLUSTERS to 1024, but apparently that does not help.
I'll be installing a kernel next which actually matches the netbsd.gdb,
but last time I tried it gdb would not actually print any variables, so
the use of that seems limited. Nevertheless, netbsd.1 and netbsd.1.core
are available on request.
