I go to /usr/src and do "make build" and get problems in libbz2:
ld -v -nostdlib -x -shared -soname libbz2.so.0 -o libbz2.so.0.0 /usr/src/ELF/usr/lib/crtbeginS.o --whole-archive libbz2_pic.a -L/usr/src/ELF/usr/lib -R/usr/lib --no-whole-archive /usr/src/ELF/usr/lib/crtendS.o
.
.
.
libbz2_pic.a(blocksort.so)(.text+0x1a92): undefined reference to `_(short, (void))'
libbz2_pic.a(blocksort.so)(.text+0x1a9d): undefined reference to `_fprintf'
libbz2_pic.a(blocksort.so)(.text+0x1af8): undefined reference to `_(short, (void))'
libbz2_pic.a(blocksort.so)(.text+0x1b03): undefined reference to `_fprintf'
libbz2_pic.a(compress.so)(.data+0x0): undefined reference to `_(short, (void))'
pimin[root-87]: make
building shared bz2 library (version 0.0)
ld -nostdlib -x -shared -soname libbz2.so.0 -o libbz2.so.0.0 /usr/src/ELF/usr/lib/crtbeginS.o --whole-archive libbz2_pic.a -L/usr/src/ELF/usr/lib -R/usr/lib --no-whole-archive /usr/src/ELF/usr/lib/crtendS.o
ld: cannot open libbz2_pic.a: No such file or directory
What did I do wrong? How do I get this to build?
TIA,
Paul
