Then it's probably no RealTek. :-)

The Realteks have usually the letters "RTL" followed by the number
(8019/8129/8139/whatever) printed on the case.

The DFE 530TX(no plus) I have has an DL10030, detected as 
VIA VT3043 (Rhine) by the kernel. I guess the DL10038 you have
has an integrated PHY (single chip chipset).

Have you tried vr (+ukphy)?
(But AFAIK there are still some "issues" with the vr driver/DFE530TX
and someone is working on them.)

BTW: The RealTek driver is rl (+ukphy).
