The kernel build went just fine but the kernel crashed three
times very quickly before I replaced it with a older one.
Subsequent kernels do not appear to have the same problem
that the first build did? Sorry for the long delay, I
was building kernels as a load test.

Why is #include <uvm/uvm_extern.h> in 1.376.2.7 and not in
1.389.2.2 ?
