Take a look at the Brother HL-1270N.  It is a small, fast, Energer Saver 
Postsript Level-2 printer that comes standard with parallel, usb, 
localtalk and 10/100 ethernet.  It will do 300, 600 and 1200 dpi; letter, 
legal and various sized manual feed forms.  All the drivers are in the 
box for use with Windows and Mac.  Setup is via telnet, web or a special 
Windows program (I used telent and Web from my NetBSD/sparc box).  It 
lists for $499, but it can be found on the Web for about $430.  The only 
thing it doesn't do is color.
