ok i was too hopeful. there was some errors after i
started the last mysqld:
<!--- cut --->
001023 21:42:56 mysqld started
/usr/local/install/mysql-3.23.26-beta/libexec/mysqld:
ready for connections
001024 7:29:57 Aborted connection 49 to db: 'mnwork'
user: 'root' host: `local
host' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
001024 8:11:20 Aborted connection 42 to db: 'mnwork'
user: 'root' host: `local
host' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
001024 8:11:21 Aborted connection 41 to db: 'mnwork'
user: 'root' host: `local
host' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
001024 8:47:04 Aborted connection 40 to db: 'mnwork'
user: 'root' host: `local
host' (Got timeout reading communication packets)
/usr/local/install/mysql-3.23.26-beta/libexec/mysqld:
Undefined PLT symbol "memc
py" (reloc type = 26, symnum = 7)
001024 11:16:28 mysqld restarted
/usr/local/install/mysql-3.23.26-beta/libexec/mysqld:
ready for connections
<!--- /cut --->
it seems to lock up first, then runs into that
"memcpy" problem again. but this isn't bad. before it
used to have hundreds of lines of errors, and could
core. i didn't see a core file for it.
i'd still would like to get this to work 100% though.
it's frustrating.
