Hiya Guyz,
I just installed NetBSD 1.5-RELEASE on my Dell Insipron 5000e laptop,
and due to a bug in the apm code(which causes grief linux/openbsd and
netbsd), I cannot boot my laptop.
The boot crashes at:
apm0 at mainbus0: Power Management spec V 1.2
uvm_fault(0xc0437680, 0xe000, 0, 1) -> 1
kernel : page fault trap code=0
Stopped in swapper at 0x3319: invalid address
db>trace
param.c(8d840038,1,530a0000,2,305c5f) at 0x3319
Now I was wondering, is there a way to disable apm0 at boot
(For example, in OpenBSD : boot -c and then disable apm0)
I have searched the archives and netbsd.org and google.com for "disabling
apm0 at boot in netbsd" and havent found anything useful.
Could someone Please Help me, as I am almost "this" close to go bald..
Thanks
Bruno.
