Subject: 1.5P kernel--massive mem problems

My Vaio Z505RX is running 1.5.1_Alpha. I tried running a 1.5P kernel.
Not good.
It gets through the boot, but segfaults and such start popping up when
/etc/rc
runs. Usually some of the userland processes go, then the kernel dies.
Trying to
sync gets a recursive panic.
No lkms or other funny stuff. 1.5.1_Alpha works perfectly.
I got the kernel sources by doing a clean anoncvs of /src. (rm -R
/usr/src;
cd /usr; cvs co -P src). No problems with the build.
Thoughts?
