(Trying to learn tunneling..)

On 1.5R, I get this:

ifconfig: SIOCGIFFLAGS gif0: Device not configured

I do have

pseudo-device   gif             4

in my kernel config.  I am running 1.5 userland, but I tried with 1.5R
ifconfig (from the snapshop) with the same result.

On a vanilla 1.5 system (1.5 kernel and userland), it works:

gif0: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1280

What's up with my 1.5R machines?  :-(
