Sorry, this question seems to exist too much times.
There is two problem about it:
1. Is it the same as we do in /usr/src that just type "make build" in /usr/xsrc
   to upgrade X window system?
2. On i386 platform, is it the best choise to upgrade from /usr/xsrc/xfree?
