I get this with hp300 + dcm mux and lpd. I know that problem should be
fixed/solved differently but I've seen it elsewhere too. I really 
appreciate the fact that however hung my system is I can be sure the
the disks will be unmounted properly.

As a semi-related side note: I recently went back to 1.4.3 on one of my
machines and although I had my doubts I've come to the conclusion that
I love the NetBSD rc.d-system. It's actually pretty good!
