On my Quadra 610 running NetBSD/mac68k, I have seen the following for the
last few days:
waiting two seconds... (typed by hand)
(esp0:0:0): selection failed; 2 left in FIFO [intr 18, stat 97, step3]
sd0(esp0:0:0:0): esp0: timed out [ecb 0x4ad000 (flags 0x1, dleft 2c,
stat 0)], <state 2, nexus 0x4ad000, phase(l 17, c 7, p 3), resid 0,
msg(q 20,o0)>
similar lines repeated lots of times.
Eventually it gives up the disk and the boot ends in a prompt for a root disk.
I don't know whether this is the same problem as you have or another
one, but it is quite disturbing anyway...
