Yep, got a Deskjet 693C here, works fine.
I'd recommend you have a play with print/if-psprint from pkgsrc. It works for
me with a printcap line of:
lp|HP DeskJet 693C:\
:if=/usr/pkg/libexec/if-psprint:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs:\
:sh:mx=0:lp=/dev/lpa0:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
:af=hpdj.unspec:
But it has been a while since I last used it.
