We've had this for _quite_ some time. man ftpd.conf, look for "conversion".
There have been threads on pkg'ized installs on tech-install. Looks for
threads with the subject line 'NetBSD System Packages', around September
'98 and January '00. There's been much talk, but nothing has hit the
source tree yet (except for package names in the set lists for some
sets).
