I have a CF card with some things on it that seem to be files, and that
work fine on a PDA that uses CF cards.
If I do a plain ls, I see a bunch of files. "ls -l" sees about 70% of
them, and gets "No such file or directory" for the rest. fsck_msdos
doesn't see anything wrong.
Anyone else seeing this kind of thing?

Yes, I see it also. I think that it is related to long filenames. If you
mount the CF card without long filenames, you can access the files.
