Hi all

NetBSD-current system speed is GREAT!

Yeah. One of the things that I didn't like about NetBSD in all its
previous versions (1.5* and below), is that they were too slow, IMHO.
Well, the slow thing was disk access.

But now, that I'm trying NetBSD-current (rebuilt yesterday), I've
got really impressed. Specially when compiling things; it gets
faster than FreeBSD! :)

Some timings...
XFree86-4: NetBSD 2.30 hours, FreeBSD around 5 (maybe cos I've built
less things).
GTK 1.2: NetBSD 12 minutes, FreeBSD 15 minutes.
Emacs 21... not calculated, but much less..
NOTE: This is a P2 266 Mhz, and NetBSD is installed on a _slower_
disk than FreeBSD's one.

Yeah, I know that these timings are not representative in any way, but
they make me feel that the system is more mature hehe.

And about other things of the system... it's really well organized,
very good hardware support, sushi is cool... etc... too much good
things to talk about ;)

Well, congrats -current developers!
