I have an external 7-port hub.  Every so often, all the devices on it are
seen as disconnecting and reconnecting.  Is this remotely normal?  It would
not surprise me if the hub were a bit quirky, it's fairly old, but I don't
want to replace it if doing so won't make a difference.
