Youknow I don't agree with gwoods on much, but he's right: it belongs in the
rc.d script, not in the `defaults'. It's mandatory for rc.d's use of ipmon.
`I dare you to find a counterexample for which *not* specifying -D actually
allows the machine to boot.' 8-)
