Hi,
this is what I've just found out:
$ { echo set args -tn blahblah ;
echo r ;
echo bt ;
sleep 3 ; } | gdb -quiet xterm
(no debugging symbols found)...(gdb) (gdb)

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
