Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am running the queue runner (at least, I
can see it in the output of "ps aux"). I saw the comments to which you
referred.

BTW, I used to live in Boulder, and, during August in Boston, I envy
the mountains and the lack of humidity where you are, in Golden,
IIRC. :-)

} various reasons for mail processed by the mail submission program to be
} left in /var/spool/clientmqueue rather than immediately forwarded on to
} the sendmail daemon (which spools into /var/spool/mqueue and sends the
} mail on to the outside world). To deal with that, it's generally necessary
} to run a queue runner that periodically processes the queue (clientqueue).
