current-users: generic kernel won't boot

Hi,

For about a week I have noticed that the GENERIC kernel won't fully boot 
on my Dell Dimension 8200 (i386). The last message I see before the boot 
process stops/freezes is:

wsmux1: connecting to wsdisplay0

Has anyone else seen this?
