Hopefully, this poor Lubomir Sedlacik <salo@Xtrmntr.org> is on
-current.... (the on-topic thread content is at the end.)

I had previously exchanged messages with him on June 17,
but he (or his ISP) has suddenly blocked messages from my ISP. It
would be helpful that folks would be more careful in selecting
blocking vendors. This vendor is clearly unreliable, as it doesn't
clean up after itself.

I am a partner in an ISP, and according to this vendor, we are a
"multistage" spam relay. This is not accurate. One of our DSL
customers (running NT) was infected on May 11, and was promptly
blocked and fixed. May 11 is a long time before Jun 25, and poor
Lubomir's vendor didn't run accurate checks.

So, now you know why it's never a good thing to block spam on
an ISP basis for a single miscreant machine in the ISP space.
You don't "punish" the ISP, you make more work for everyone,
including yourself.

And responsible vendors never block an address for more than a few
hours before checking again.

Having asked my questions, I sent the diff to the www@ and gnats-bugs@
yesterday. When I look at it via the query mechanism, it looks pretty
odd, as some of the formatting is recognized (by my browser?)

Is there some better way to submit?

If you tell me specifically where you want something written, I'll try
to get something done this week....
