Unfortunately, that wouldn't work in the general case. pkgsrc is not
really designed for the job. It is for building externally maintained
sources, not for building packages suitable for upgrading internally
maintained ones. Ultimately it wouldn't give us aptget style upgrades.

I think a number of people have some ideas about how to improve the
situation going forward. Hopefully they will be worked on more in
coming months.
