According to windoze XP:

According to a 1 Dec install kernel (laptop wants its freedom)
  sip0 at pci0 dev 4 function 0: SiS 900 10/100 Ethernet, rev 0x91
  sip0: interrupting at irq 10
  sip0: Ethernet address ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

What happened to the ethernet address?
