Hi!
I recently got hold of one 512MB USB flash drive, and tried to see if
NetBSD-current would recognize it, with the following results:
umass0 at uhub0 port 2 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: Kingston DataTraveler2.0, rev 2.00/2.00, addr 2
umass0: using SCSI over Bulk-Only
scsibus0 at umass0: 2 targets, 1 lun per target
Whereas Transcend JetFlash 1GB gives the following:
(same USB connection, after detaching the Kingston)
umass0 at uhub0 port 2 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: EasyDisk TS1GJFLASHA, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 2
umass0: using SCSI over Bulk-Only
scsibus0 at umass0: 2 targets, 1 lun per target
sd0 at scsibus0 target 0 lun 0: <, TS1GJFLASHA, 1.00> disk removable
sd0: fabricating a geometry
sd0: 989 MB, 989 cyl, 64 head, 32 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 2026200 sectors
after which I can use fdisk, disklabel, mount etc.
I assume that the 512MB Kingston is not supported?
Any chance of supporting it in -current?
(Or am I just doing something the Wrong Way?)
Artsi
