I installed the latest RC4 snapshot to a somewhat old Laptop
(Pentium 1 120MHz/12MB from 1996, dmesg is below).=20

It has 2 PCMCIA SLots which I want to use with a 100baseT NIC,=20
but cannot. The NIC is recognized and can
be configured to 192.168.2.5, I can ping .5 but not .1.
Also I cannot ping .5 from .1 and I see no packets from the other
machine on both within tcpdump. Additionally, I cannot use my
PCMCIA-Compact Flash adapter to mount a CF Card, it is recognized,
including the CF Card, but mbrlabel /dev/wd1d gets stuck and cannot be
killed, even not by halt.=20

The hardware worked with the formerly installed Windows 95 and I don't
see errormessages, except "device timeouts".

Any hints? Building a custom kernel and tweaking portaddresses?=20
