FWIW, that doesn't actually format the floppy, it just writes 0 bytes
to it. Use fdformat to actually do a format. And 2880 512K blocks? A
floppy is only 1.44MB; 2880 * 512K = 1.44GB... that's quite a floppy!
:) You probably meant bs=512, not bs=512k.
