Can wiconfig(8) use for ral(4)?  I've never used it.

I'm using ifconfig.if(5).

# echo "inet 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 nwid [SSID] nwkey [WEP key]" > /etc/ifconfig.ral0
# chmod 600 /etc/ifconifg.ral0

And if the SSID and the WEP key are set, it can be configured by
dhclient(8).

# ifconfig ral0 nwid [SSID] nwkey [WEP key]
# dhclient ral0
