I had to put ChipID 0x5b60 (which is an X300) into my xorg.conf to
get my X550 runnning.
Which is essentially the same chip just a little higher clocked.
So pretending it is an X300 did the trick.
I used FreeBSD but that shouldn't make a difference in this regard.
