the linux on IBM X31 pages include some acpi stuff which is said to
work correctly with the dock, for both docking and un-docking.

is this the kind of thing which can move cleanly(ish) from linux to
BSD? -If its the ACPI logic itself, I thought that might be reasonably
architecture neutral..
