Just wondering if anyone had taken a look at this/fixed it in their
tree.  I followed the suggestion that ad@ gave on netbsd-bugs,
implementing it for LFS, FFS, and ext2fs, and it seems to work OK.
Mostly, I'm just interested in anything any developers have to say.

I also get hard lockups sometimes when using mount_null on LFS, but
I'm not familiar enough with genfs to know if this is related or not.
Should I file a  PR if I run into this again, or is this a known
issue?
