I've only tried with 4.0_BETA2 from april. Suspend and resume seem to
work, but some devices won't work afterwards (fxp, iwi). I didn't test more.
> 3. Does suspend/resume work with this new kernel?
With the kernel you put online it partially worked (let me know if you
need more details). With a kernel built from latest sources from
jmcneill-pm it works, apart from some devices.
> 4. If the system resumed, do any device drivers stop working?
Yes, but I think only the ones you would expect to; fxp, iwi, and
others that print wzrnings at attach. fwohci keeps printing 'device
physically ejected?' while using usb or audio (auich and uhci have the
same IRQ) after resume. I didn't try cardslot.
The new power handler for auich seems to work long enough to play
everything on disk that audioplay could handle. :)
> 5. Any other quirks after resume?
USB works initially but gives up after some use. An easy way to trigger
this is scrolling with my mouse, but I've seen it with a umass device
too. When this happens, auich is dead too (audioplay repeats the same
sample over and over), again probably because they're on the same
interrupt.
Thanks for your work on this. Let me know if you need more data. I'll
try to keep you updated when things change with new commits on the pm
branch (or I can try patches too).
Kind regards
