I'd like to see NetBSD to support Dell PERC6/i.
On a Dell PE1950-iii w/ PERC6/i card and two 3.5" SAS drives
for RAID-1 configuration, the output of dmesg both in NetBSD 4.0
and NetBSD-current of 200802160002Z/i386 includes the following:
mpt0 at pci7 dev 0 function 0: vendor 0x1000 product 0x0060
mpt0: unable to map device registers
It matches with PCI_PRODUCT_SYMBIOS_SAS1078 and now the mpt drive
took it.
When I put an OpenBSD/i386 snap (20080222) bootcd, the dmesg
includes the following:
mfi0 at pci7 dev 0 function 0 "Symbios Logic SAS1078" rev 0x04: irq 5, Dell
PERC 6/i integrated
mfi0: logical drives 1, version 6.0.1-0080, 256MB RAM
scsibus0 at mfi0: 1 targets
sd0 at scsibus0 targ 0 lun 0: <DELL, PERC 6/i, 1.11> SCSI3 0/direct fixed
sd0: 139392MB, 17769 cyl, 255 head, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sec, 285474816 sec total
