And you can even use Wireshark on another machine to display the contents of a capture file created by "tcpdump": 1.) Create the capture file with "tcpdump -w my.pcap -s 0 ..." on the remote machine. 2.) Transfer the capture file to your desktop and load it with "wireshark -r my.pcap".
