This brings up something that has been bugging me for a while.

I see you using -M /usr/obj.  But if the goal is to build a complete
object tree under /usr/obj, don't you want -O?  Every time I've tried
to use -M, it does something ... well, "strange" is the only way I can
think to describe it.  If someone could explain to me why you would use
-M instead of -O, I'd appreciate it.
