is for mrg fixing the actual place where the build failed to work without
OBJDIR settings being sane.

The other result is that the documentation of the MAKEOBJDIR* variables
was being coy about telling one not to try using them in mk.conf; they are
not expected to work unless used on the command line or as environment
variable; see

fixing that to get a clearer wording.
