Strange - for me, gtk2 does not build against libXcomposite.
This is not by intent, it is just not pulled in by bl3.
Perhaps an oversight, but for now I don't see where gtk2
would make use of it.
Are you using native xorg? Perhaps the x11-links mechanism
pulls in more than intended.
