bind 9.7.3 + 9.8rc1 resolvers quit answering queries

Hi,

I've have both installed net/bind97 and used the native bind 9.8rc1 as a
resolver running on a NetBSD 5.99.48/i386 from the 28:th of Mars. It's on a
resolver serving a couple servers and hosts (which generates 10+ queries /sec)

Both of the bind versions just stops answering queries after a while. bind
9.8rc1 seems to do a better job in not stopping to respond the clients queries.
pkgsrc/bind97 (from current) does only work for an hour or two, then it stop
responding queries.

pkgsrc/bind97 was built with the following options (default):

Mar 30 14:38:55 xxx named[27036]: built with '--without-libxml2'
'--enable-ipv6' '--enable-threads' '--with-libtool' '--sysconfdir=/etc'
'--localstatedir=/var' '--disable-openssl-version-check' '--with-openssl=/usr'
'--prefix=/usr/pkg' '--build=i486--netbsdelf' '--host=i486--netbsdelf'
'--mandir=/usr/pkg/man' 'build_alias=i486--netbsdelf'
'host_alias=i486--netbsdelf' 'CC=cc' 'CFLAGS=-O2 -pthread -I/usr/include'
'LDFLAGS=-pthread -L/usr/lib -Wl,-R/usr/lib -Wl,-R/usr/pkg/lib' 'LIBS='
'CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/include' 'CXX=c++' 'CXXFLAGS=-O2 -pthread -I/usr/include'
'CXXCPP=cpp' 'F77=f77' 'FFLAGS=-O'

Anybody else that has seen this problem?

I'll try switch over to unbound to see if that works better...

/P
