libusb and kith....

 Is there a move afoot to import libusb1.0 into -current in the near 
future.

I need it for a project on my primary webserver (a weather station).

Alternately, if there's someone with some experience using the native 
usbhid driver, I'd love to pick your brain in private e-mail.
