sys_select() issue? (Was:Re: Sysinst behavior change? (amd64) )
anita/py_expect still seems to be hanging or timing-out rather than
detecting the system "halted by root" message, preventing any successful
tests runs.

Hmmm, I don't know about kern/45187, but I _did_ update the host OS
recently. I was previously running on 5.99.52, but recently updated to
5.99.55. The timing of the upgrade is consistent with the appearance of
this problem.

Well, I just installed an up-to-the-minute kernel on one of my other machines
and gave it a try. No change, it still hangs after the 'halt' command and
waits for expect() to time-out. I have verified, and this kernel uses
kern/sys_select.c rev 1.35
So either I'm having a different problem, or sys_select is still not quite
completely fixed. :)
Just as an additional datapoint, there were multiple "stalls" reported during
the installation of base and comp sets ...
