cpuctl not working

This is on a 5.99.60 system built from sources updated via anoncvs on 
2012-01-18 at 05:04:58 UTC.  I have downloaded the "latest" microcode 
from the amd support site, and copied it into the /libdata/firmware/... 
directory.
