Believe it or not, this seems to be way
sh build.sh tools
a.k.a.
/usr/src/tools/make/configure
is broken:
configure:1340: result: < result: $ac_file
configure:1345: checking whether the C compiler works
configure:1351: ./
eval: ./: permission denied
because that should read ./$ac_file, but ac_file is set using `ls...`
which doesn't seem to return anything!
